Rest in Peace Internet Explorer 6. I hate you, you are a bad ghost in 2010. I will not design for you. I don’t respect the people who love you, they don’t like the internet, they want it ugly.

Zenia is a new watercolor painting in my 15×21 cm sketchbook. I paint her with my new aquarelle colors but now I am think to paint her again in future with acrylics in a bigger size canvas. I will decide later about this.

I am not used to paint with aquarelle colors, I don’t know why but I was painting with tempera only as child and continue with tempera and later as I grew. Maybe because it’s more easy to find tempera than aquarelle in shops here and when I hear the word “watercolor” my mind goes to tempera colors. I bought my first aquarelle color set the last month.

Then, I decide to try painting with watercolors in my new winsor & newton sketchbook. I usually draw only with pencils in this sketchbook. It’s not perfect for washes but ok you can paint with less water in your colors.

I love him because I saw him in my mind  so clearly before I draw him but I didn’t find name for him until now, he’s just Mr Stork.

These sketches are good as references usually. I am not sure if we have Red Squirrels in my city so it’s not easy to draw one if you can’t see it anywhere. But my friend Klearchos -who is in love with his camera the last years- found a Red Squirrel in a park in Poland and took some photos. I use one of these photos for my sketch today but I think I will make more sketches from his photos.

I am not sure yet if I want to paint it with acrylics, watercolors or digital. I name this character Romiro from the word mirror because as I said before when I start I was trying to draw a mirror.

I was trying to deside how many fingers my character has and as you can see it has 4 fingers in one hand and 5 in the other. I think the 4 fingers are enough for Romiro.

Romiro has a hole as mouth, you can see through him and some times he trying to do the same but it’s not so easy for him.
